Don't Jail Louisiana Teachers & Librarians.

House Bill 545, filed by Representative Beryl Amedee (R-Gray), seeks to remove this exemption from criminal prosecution for public K-12 schools. If these passed, public school teachers and librarians could be prosecuted for having obscene materials, facing fines as high as $5000 and up to three years in jail. This, despite Gov. Jeff Landry's own Protecting Innocence Report stating that Louisiana libraries contain NO obscene materials.
